I hope our family will always remember the courage and sacrifice of these good men, and all of our family members who have served our country in the past. I hope we will appreciate and respect those who are serving our country today. Please live your life so that your actions and your conduct reflect honorably upon our family and those who have served so well.

"And I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free!"
What a wonderful post! I was just thinking this afternoon how *funny* it is that most people look at tomorrow as a day off, with bbq'ing. You've inspired me to call my Grandpa tomorrow and thank him for his service, so I can live the life I live.
Love you, Texas family!
Well said. Thanks for reminding us what today is about, Mom!
Thank you too Mom, for all the stuff you do for our fmily. I'm so glad to live in such an awesome family with such brave men.
Laurie, What a great blog. I'm impressed with the stories, and the fact that you have pictures etc. Until Sept.11 we didn't really worry about being free and safe, after that we all need reminders of the great men and women who serve and help keep us free. We owe alot to the generations before us. Have a great day, Millicent
